View this post on Instagram In 2017 I released a music project called RIGHTEOUS/RATCHET and less than a month later my book UNLEARN blew up, sending me around the world for the next 3 years.. music had to take a back seat. My struggles in music were the foundation of Unlearn, it was being chewed up by the music industry that forced me to become more self aware and the Humble The Poet you know today. Music is my love, it’s so fun, and never feels like work. Now that my next book isn’t scheduled to be dropped for another 14 months, I have space to revisit it, and honour old releases that didn’t get a chance to shine. One such release is Y.O.U, a beautiful joint I did with @keithricemusic.. I have a brilliant music video in my heart for this, but until we find normalcy, the least I can do is share the lyrics.
