Don't Be Afraid of Losing People

I'm not the first person to exclaim proudly, "I'll never compromise myself for a girl" only to eat those words a few years later. Like many instances in life, we can find ourselves acting out of fear because we don't want to lose someone or something, and that's a very slippery slope. If we're making adjustments just to keep our head above the water, we may not be in the healthiest situation. Let's not be pushed by fear, but rather put ourselves in situations where we are pulled by love. I'm not going to be cliché and say that everyone should completely love you for who you are, but at the same time you should not have to lose yourself trying to appease others. Putting yourself first isn't selfish, it's essential for the survival of your being.
