Enjoy Life

You're going to die. It may not be today, it may not be tomorrow. With modern medicine, you may have the option to live until you choose to die, but you will still die one way or another. It's something we're wired not to think about very often, but remembering this fact can be the most liberating thing. Capitalism has taught us that money is the most important thing in the world, when really TIME is far more valuable. We can spend money, and make more, but we can't do the same with time; once it's spent, it's gone forever. When you realize how important time is, remembering your mortality is that reminder you need to spend your time, the way YOU want to spend it. I'm not going to tell you how to spend your time, but I am going to challenge you to look at how you're spending it now and auditing whether those things are worth your time. In 300 years, no one we know or have ever met will still be here. For me, remembering that makes most of the things that stress me out or hold me down feel much lighter. There's no shortage of people who want to command how you spend your time. I'm here to remind you that the only person whose opinion matters for that is you; so think deeply about your time, and how much you have left; remember you don't know when your last moment is, so spend the moment you have right now on things that are important to you. #BLESS.
