Tomorrow's Never Promised

We aren't designed to think about death. If we thought about the fact that we're a bag of bones that could be sliced in half by dental floss, and we couldn't think about anything else, we'd probably lose our minds. We're entitled to think we have "someday" to look forward to, when we all know that life can end in a moment, without any notice. ⁣ ⁣ That doesn't mean we have to quit our job, not make our bed, and stop paying our bills. But it's good to remember when we're procrastinating on the things that really make us alive. It doesn't mean we have to fall into a nihilistic depression, but it does mean we should take a moment to think about the people who we know we'll never talk to again, and decide if we left off on the right foot. ⁣ ⁣ Life overwhelms me, my inbox overwhelms me, the requests and demands of my friends and family overwhelm me, and the quickest way I can find some relief from that is to remember I can go at any time, and now is the only time I have. Please stop putting life on hold while you do things you don't want to do. You don't own a crystal ball, so you don't know how things will play out. You might as well control the one moment you do have some dominion over, the present. ⁣ ⁣ If today was the last day of your life, what would be different? #BLESS
