Choose the Fun

I realized I needed to make work fun again. I spent a lot of time
sitting quietly, trying to reconnect with young Humble, the guy who
worked two jobs and still found four hours to work on his music every day. To this day, I still have to dig deep every once in a while to get that extra mile in, but the fun is still the main theme. When I spend too much time on process and not enough time on content, work stops being fun. Now, I write because I have things to say instead of finding things to say because I have to write. I remind myself that like Ping-Pong, the challenges aren’t supposed to make me sigh, but rather to excite me. They say “Trust the process,” but the process
doesn’t need to be trusted, just enjoyed. The rest will take care of itself.
